CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Several inmates are facing charges for their roles in allegedly sneaking illegal drugs into a County jail. According to the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began in early 2025 after allegations that an inmate used a condom to sneak hundreds of fentanyl pills into the facility, and that trustees were passing pills from inmate to inmate.
